Small Engine Mechanic
Inspect, rebuild, service and repair small horse power equipment. Often speciality in one type of equipment such as lawn mowers all grades, scooters, motorcycles etc.
Work in ventilated and noisy shops. Most work full time during regular business hours. Busy during the spring and summer but also depending on the type of engine repair.
Small Engine Mechanic Requirements
With more sophisticated equipment most employers prefer to hire mechanics who have completed formal training programs. Mechanics learn their trade through on the job training.

Growth of 21% as new cheaper made goods need repairing as well as the older more durable but worn out ones. Those with formal training should have very good job opportunities.
